What do we do?

What does the Parent Partnership Service do?

Our service offers support by means of:

  • A  telephone helpline with answerphone outside of office hours;                  Tel: (01865) 810516
  • Information leaflets on a variety of topics around SEN's.

  • The Your child and you (.pdf format, 1.6Mb) pack for parents whose children have special educational needs and disabilities

  • Talking Points - informal SEN drop-in advice sessions every Wednesday during term time in a different location. See when we are next in your area; for dates please visit the Talking Points page to find out more.

  • A conference (annual if possible) for parents and carers of children with SEN's with a choice of practical and informative workshops

  • An open opportunity for parents to drop in for a chat - for assistance in filling in forms and advice about LEA processes and procedures.
  • Provide an independent parental supporter (IPS) for all parents of children with SEN who ask for one, regardless of whether the child is on  School Action Plus or Statemented, and whatever the SEN.
