Grant to fight poverty in Oxford

Oxfam GB will be making a fund of £20,000 available to support local groups and charities fighting poverty within the city of Oxford. The fund has been created in recognition of Oxfam GB’s responsibility as a local employer to support anti-poverty work in the city where it was founded and is still based.

Interested groups or charities should be working in Oxford in at least one of the following areas: livelihoods, including support on benefits advice and workers’ rights, asylum, right to be heard, gender equality or race equality, or climate change.

The maximum grant will normally be for £3,000, although in exceptional cases more may be available. The grant cannot support individuals directly.

For further details on how to apply, please email: Mary Cronley at mcronley@oxfam.org.uk. The closing date for applications is 29 February 2012 with grants being made by the end of May 2012. This Grant scheme will run annually.
