Deadline approaching: Call for social change projects

The Funding Network Oxford is calling for projects for their 2012 event to raise money for social change projects. There are strict guidelines involved and each project needs a sponsor - these details can be downloaded by clicking here. The deadline is 14 February. Shortlisted organisations will have to pitch their plans for any money raised in front of an audience at the event on 26 April 2012 at the North Wall Arts Centre. Last year the event raised £26,345 for four social change groups: Playing Out, Refugee Resource, Seeds for Change and Mali Association of Culture and Hope. Click here for an application form.

This is a message from The Funding Network:

Following the success of our last Oxford funding evening, we’re making plans for another enjoyable event next year. We hope you’ll join us on Thursday April 26, 2012, at the North Wall Arts Centre, when we’ll again be meeting to raise money for the best social change projects we can find.

We wanted to let you know that we’re now inviting applications. Every project needs a sponsor. If you have come across exciting social change projects that have inspired you, please think about sponsoring an application. Most projects that present at the Funding Network in Oxford are identified and sponsored by people who have come to one of our events. This is your chance to support a charity by encouraging them to apply and helping them through the process. Please see the attached Guidance for Sponsors and Charities and the Project Application Template. Each successful project stands to raise a possible £5,000. The closing date is February 14, 2012. Do please pass this on to any groups that you think might be interested, and If you’d like to talk to us about your ideas for sponsoring, please drop an email to Sue Raikes at sue.raikes@appleinter.net
