Age UK Oxfordshire are looking to recruit an energetic and passionate Media & Marketing Officer to this exciting role that will be a lead in progressing a new and innovative physical activity programme for older people in Oxfordshire called ‘Generation Games’. Keen to progress their career in charity/ leisure industry, this role will provide support to the Locality Manager at Age UK Oxfordshire, whilst managing and executing campaigns both on and offline. With an excellent understanding of the marketing delivery chain, this role will work on exciting and challenging campaigns, focussed on distinctly different target audiences of older people, via web, group based communications and presentations, aimed at encouraging the maximum amount of older people possible to take part in regular physical activity.

As the Media & Marketing Officer you will need to be a strong communicator, confident in a fast paced environment with an exceptional eye for detail and have a passion for older people. We are looking for a Dementia Adviser to provide information and advice to people with dementia and their carers at Community Mental Health Team Memory Clinics and also facilitate a number of support groups for carers of people with dementia.

The ideal candidate must have experience of working with people with dementia and their carers, of facilitating groups and of working in multi-disciplinary teams. The ability to multi-task and to work effectively under pressure is essential, as is a willingness to travel throughout central and south Oxfordshire.

This role is subject to a satisfactory CRB check.

The branch is seeking a volunteer or nomination to be elected at the AGM in March 2012 as Chair of the Committee of the branch. Ideally, they would like to appoint somebody as soon as reasonably possible, to run in tandem with the current Chair until March 2012.
