Working with the Psychological Consequences of Childhood Sexual Abuse
This will be an interactive learning opportunity for us to think about how to help adults who have undergone abusive experiences early in life. The day will focus on 2 main areas:
- Possible psychological consequences of child sexual abuse
- How recent ideas on 'post traumatic growth' (rather than post traumatic stress) may affect how we engage with those who report distressing events.
Trainer: Dr Denise Barulis - Clinical Psychologist
