The Regional Strategic Cross Sector Partnership (RSCP) is a group that champions and supports the Third Sector to develop a strategic and influential role with public sector partners. It also promotes the benefits, contributions and aspirations of the sector, supports the role of the Third Sector in the South East and supports the government and its agencies in developing positive policies and strategies for the sector.
A series of events and workshops are being held with the aim of tackling some of the key issues that the Third Sector faces. This event will focus on the current issues around funding and finance.
Building on the Funding and Finance research, funded by ChangeUp in 2006, this interactive workshop will provide you with the opportunity to think about the current challenges for the sector and how your organisation may plan for the future or be better engaged in current developments. Be prepared to bring to the workshop your own examples of the funding and finance environment in which you are working.
This workshop will offer you the opportunity to:
· Revisit the Funding and Finance report produced by RAISE in October 2006 and consider the recommendations outlined in this report, assessing how these recommendations have moved forward.
· Share current practice both good and bad in contracting, tendering and grant processes and learn about current solutions that are happening elsewhere in the South East and wider.
· Opportunity to consider the impact of the recession on your own organisation, with helpful tips on how to develop a recession ready strategy.
· Influence policy in the South East through the sharing of your experiences so that the RSCP and RAISE can better represent the Third Sector with policy makers and funders.
