Damentia Awareness Day is an event for everyone - especially people who are worried about their memory, and those who have been diagnosed with dementia, their carers, family and friends. There are a series of eventsgoing on at the Randolph Hotel and the Ashmolean Museum. Some of these activities are:

  • singing for joy
  • music therapy
  • living well with dementia
  • exercise, fun and games
  • memory strategies
  • dementia question time

This also freatures free information tables and displays showing what help is on offer in Oxfordshire, a chance to talk to experts face to face, head/hand/shoulder massage, legal and benefits advisors and special tours of the Ashmolean Museum.

In the evening at the Oxford Playhouse 'The Lion's Face' opera is being performed. This is a heartfelt and often witty story of loss, love and family. This costs just £12 when you quote the code 'memories' to the Oxford Playhouse ticket office.
