'Co-location, Making it Happen' workshop

Charities are increasingly keen to explore joint working, and one of the ways of doing that is to jointly own or occupy property. Organisations going into the property market together can also improve their negotiating position in what are still very uncertain times.

This workshop will explore the possible legal structures for charities undertaking co-location projects. It will be held at the offices of The British Ecological Society, who we advised on the joint acquisition of their new building together with two other charities in 2009.
The workshop leaders from Stone King Sewell will be Jonathan Burchfield from the Charity and Education team, and Andrew Small from the Commercial Property team. Dr Hazel Norman, the CEO of The British Ecological Society, will be speaking about the operational issues that co-location throws up, and how they were addressed in this project.
