More frontline worker training from Oxford Citizens Advice Bureau
Are you working with clients who got into debt over the Christmas period? Or who found it a struggle to make ends meet over Christmas?
Oxford Citizens Advice Bureau are offering a free session for frontline workers in Oxfordshire to look at ways of saving for Christmas as part of the Save Xmas campaign.
This campaign was developed by the Office of Fair Trading after the Farepak collapse and aims to reach people most affected by that collapse, women in the 35-55 age group.

We will be joined by the Lord Mayor of Oxford, Councillor Susanna Pressel and the President of The Red Cross in Oxfordshire -Mr.Lawrence Lee.
The one-day roadshow in Slough is for Voluntary/Community Organisations and umbrella bodies. The event aims to strengthen support for advocacy, campaigning, active citizinship, empowerment and voice as part of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) Capacitybuilders' programme for improving support.
Through networking, workshops and speakers, delegates will get an overview on how to campaign. Delegates will also receive resources and information on different aspects of campaigning, empowerment and voice.
Drayton Twinning Group are holding their AGM at the Caudwell Day Centre at 8 pm.

The Oxfordshire Neurological Alliance is holding a meeting on Tuesday 24th March, 7:15-9:30pm at the Kings Centre, Osney Mead, Oxford.
The keynote speaker will be Baroness Susan Greenfield talking about 'The Brain in Health and Disease'.
This is an exciting opportunity to understand the benefits of neurological alliance and to take part in its development. The launch is being supported by the PCT and their representatives will be talking about working together to shape Neurological Services in Oxfordshire.

Thursday 26th March – 1.30pm - 4.30pm Introductory Session to the Certificate in Community Volunteering Course. This Taster Session is FREE. Venue OCVA Meeting Room, Floyds Row, St Aldates, Oxford. The Certificate in Community Volunteering is a national qualification. It is awarded by ASDAN, a national awarding body. This means that, even if participants attend the course in Oxford, the qualification will be recognised everywhere in the country. The Certificate in Community Volunteering is a qualification at level 2.
